Why Choose Us?
We strive to provide the best possible care to our “family” of patients. Doctors Blackhurst, Larsen, and Sorge's small town roots show through in the way they treat each patient like family, from babies to adults, wanting nothing but what is best for each patient’s situation.
Our staff all stay up-to-date with the newest and latest in technology, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. The oral systemic connection is important, and to help our patients achieve the best health possible is always our goal. We are all excited to meet you and hope you will be happy with the service you receive at our office!
Dr Larsen (dentist) and staff took a lot of time to make sure my kids had a great experience getting their cavities filled. The dentist and staff were friendly and patient too. Probably the best experience so far for my kids. Will definitely be going back to him. Thanks again!
Dr. Todd S. Larsen, DMD
Dr. Todd Larsen was born and raised in the Eastern part of the rural Utah Uintah Basin, namely, Roosevelt, Utah. He grew up at the base of the Uinta Mountains hiking, camping, and fishing with his dad. Dr. Larsen attended Brigham Young University where he met and married the love of his life, Christy Arrowood from Roswell, Georgia. They moved to Atlanta after graduation and lived there for four years. At that time, he rekindled his desire to follow in his dad’s footsteps to be a dentist. He then attended Southern Illinois University, School of Dental Medicine, in Alton, Illinois. (Just across the river from St. Louis, MO), and graduated in June of 1998, ranking 4th in his class and receiving numerous awards as an outstanding dental student.
Dr. Larsen has been practicing dentistry since his graduation in Roosevelt, Metro Atlanta, and now in Sandy, Utah, at Fort Union Family Dental. He has gone above and beyond the required continuing education hours needed to maintain his licensure. Dr. Larsen has traveled all over the United States for the best dental education in order to offer better care for his patients. He is an alumnus of the Dawson Academy, one of the premiere dental education centers in America. He also is a member of the education-centered group, the Academy of General Dentistry. This, along with membership in the American Dental Association and Academy of LDS Dentists, gives him ample opportunities to continue his lifelong education in learning the best way to care for patients and give service to others.
At the heart of Dr. Larsen’s practice is the desire to provide the best possible care to his “family” of patients. His small town roots show through in the way he treats each patient like family, from babies to adults, wanting nothing but what is best for each patient’s situation. His education and experience allows Dr. Larsen to provide comprehensive dentistry, including cosmetic procedures such as crowns and veneers. Some other procedures that he provides are implants, extractions, dentures, root canals, and teeth whitening. He is also trained in TMJ pain management. Dr. Larsen loves working with children and helping them also see the importance of dental health.
In his spare time, Dr. Larsen loves to spend time with his wife and four children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. He also enjoys sports (mostly football), cooking and eating good food, traveling, and an occasional fishing trip with his father back to the Uinta Mountains!

Dr. Jenny Sorge DDS
Dr. Jennifer Sorge grew up in an Air Force family and moved often growing up. She claims Texas, Nevada, Illinois, California, Wisconsin, and Utah all as her home. She attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in exercise science. There she developed an appreciation for the human body and decided to pursue a fulfilling career in dentistry.
She later completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. During her dental education she participated in research focused on oral disease prevention through effective patient education. Her proudest accomplishment in dental school was helping found a humanitarian organization that provides dental services to underprivileged children throughout Mexico.
Outside of dentistry, Jennifer enjoys hiking, biking, running, and anything that involves being outdoors when the weather is warm. She also appreciates the arts, either on the stage or in a gallery. Coming from an artistic home, she started painting at a young age and still enjoys picking up a paintbrush. More than anything, however, Jennifer enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures and landscapes. She has been to sixteen countries and hopes to travel much more in the future.
