Dr. Larsen has been practicing dentistry since his graduation in Roosevelt, Metro Atlanta, and now in Midvale, Utah, at Fort Union Family Dental. He has gone above and beyond the required continuing education hours needed to maintain his licensure. Dr. Larsen has traveled all over the United States for the best dental education in order to offer better care for his patients. He is an alumnus of the Dawson Academy, one of the premiere dental education centers in America. He also is a member of the education-centered group, the Academy of General Dentistry. This, along with membership in the American Dental Association and Academy of LDS Dentists, gives him ample opportunities to continue his lifelong education in learning the best way to care for patients and give service to others.
At the heart of Dr. Larsen’s practice is the desire to provide the best possible care to his “family” of patients. His small town roots show through in the way he treats each patient like family, from babies to adults, wanting nothing but what is best for each patient’s situation. His education and experience allows Dr. Larsen to provide comprehensive dentistry, including cosmetic procedures such as crowns and veneers. Some other procedures that he provides are implants, extractions, dentures, root canals, and teeth whitening. He is also trained in TMJ pain management. Dr. Larsen loves working with children and helping them also see the importance of dental health.
In his spare time, Dr. Larsen loves to spend time with his wife and four children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. He also enjoys sports (mostly football), cooking and eating good food, traveling, and an occasional fishing trip with his father back to the Uinta Mountains!
Courtney decided her junior year of high school that this was the career path she wanted to take. A church youth leader was a hygienist and told her what she loved about it. It’s a blessing to Courtney to be able to help people. She loves to bring out others self confidence and enjoy their own smile. Helping patients and friends see the connection between their overall health and the health of their mouth is always an accomplishment. She went to school at Utah Valley University and then transferred to the Utah College of Dental Hygiene to get her bachelors in dental hygiene in 2014. After graduating she moved to California and worked in Irvine and Huntington Beach. She enjoyed going to Disneyland and the beach and making new friends there.
She came back to Utah and started working here in February 2017. She enjoys working alongside Dr. Larsen and the other staff members in helping treat our patients with the best care possible.
Courtney grew up in Chandler, Arizona. She has tried many sports from ballet, soccer, dance, cheerleading and figure skating. There were lots of lakes around so she also did water skiing and pretty much anything behind a boat. Growing up with three brothers she has grown to love watching sports as well. She loves being around friends and family and enjoying their company. To her it’s less about what you’re doing and more about who you are with.
